20 Robin Hood: The Legend Of Sherwood

Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood is an isometric real-time stealth and strategy game in the mold of the Commandos and Desperado games. Set in the late 12th Century, the game places players in the role of the eponymous Robin Hood who leads his band of Merry Men against. It features open-ended, non-linear missions where the legendary outlaw must overcome Nottingham's oppressive military forces led by the Sheriff and Prince John.

Moreover, Hellish Quart is being expanded with a story mode in development. It focuses on one of the characters in the game named Jacek. It is the first of several planned short stories that tie into the campaign when the game is out of Early Access. Old-school PS1 fans may remember a sword-fighting title named Bushido Blade. It was based during the Samurai era, but the stakes were the same. A fight can end with one precise strike, or injuries can occur with hits to the arms and legs. Despite being very visually different, Pentiment displays their knack for brilliant writing and excellent dialogue in a medieval detective drama with an art style reminiscent of historical tapestries.

The game is set in the 1500s during the Holy Roman Empire, and there's a lot of well-researched historical accuracy in its depiction of the culture and folklore. Players take on the role of an Illuminator as he is tasked with solving the murder of a Baron and making a historical account in his manuscript. Pentiment is one of the most unique and historically relevant medieval games available.
